Israel has killed at least 200 Palestinians in Gaza over three days as ceasefire talks restart in Qatar.
According to Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli shelling on Sunday morning killed two people, including journalist Muhammad Hijazi in northern Gaza, with the agency saying that Gaza civil defence teams recovered the body of a person killed in Mosbeh, north of Gaza's southern city of Rafah.
The continued Israeli shelling of Gaza comes following the start of new peace talks that began in Doha, Qatar, backed by Qatari and Egyptian mediators. The renewed negotiations prompted protests for the release of hostages in Israel.
According to the Times of Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called a small group of ministers to his office at 5pm Jerusalem time to discuss the talks, with Israel's Army Radio saying that both far-right ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir will be present.
Israel's war on Gaza, which has been ongoing for 15-months, has killed 45,717 Palestinians and wounded 108,856 others.
