Mohamed Salah created Premier League history in Liverpool’s 5-0 win at West Ham on Sunday as the forward continues to turn heads.
The 32-year-old chipped in with a goal and two assists at the London Stadium to help the Reds extend their lead to eight points at the top of the table.

Salah jinked past Konstantinos Mavropanos in the box, before poking a pass though Max Kilman’s legs to gift Gakpo an open goal.
And Salah then put the cherry on top of what was a perfect first half from Arne Slot’s men by firing in a third for Liverpool.
Found unmarked inside the edge of the box by Curtis Jones, Salah took one touch, before curling an effort into the near post that proved too hot to handle for Alphonse Areola.
In doing so, Salah became the first player in Premier League history to both score and assist in eight matches in a single season.
He had been tied with Harry Kane, Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Bruno Fernandes and Robin van Persie on seven.
And just for good measure, Salah then popped up with another assist, this time for Diogo Jota, who made it 5-0 in the 84th minute following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s deflected long range strike at the start of the second half.
Salah has also now either scored or assisted in 11 consecutive Premier League fixtures.
That has been done on just seven occasions since the inception of the Premier League in 1992.
The Egyptian forward has managed the feat twice previously, having been directly involved in goals in 15 straight games in 2021, and 12 in 2023.

Toasting the win, he said: “The only thing in my mind, is I want Liverpool to win the league and I just want to be part of that. That’s the only thing I’ve really focused on since the beginning of the season.
“I will do my best for the team to win trophies.
“We are in the right direction but of course there are a few other teams really trying to catch up with us and they are very good teams.
“We just need to stay focused and humble, work hard and just go again.
And Liverpool boss Arne Slot added: “Mo and the word extraordinary is something I’ve heard a lot in the last six months. He truly deserves this.
“I don’t think he keeps surprising us because we know what a player he is and we know he is able to do so. Apart from that, he works really hard for the team also when the other team has the ball.
“We can only hope he can keep bringing these performances in, if you bring Mo in these positions, he is extraordinary. Definitely.”
West Ham couldn’t live with Salah in east London on Sunday eveningSalah is the Premier League’s top scorer with 17 goals, while he also leads the assists charts with 13.
No one in Premier League history has reached 30 goal involvements in quicker time than Salah [18 matches].
He is just the second player to do so after Luis Suarez, who needed 19 games to reach the tally in the 2013/14 campaign.
It was only on Boxing Day that saw Salah join an exclusive club of scoring a century of home league goals.
In what has been a stunning 2024 for the ex-Chelsea man, no player has been involved in more goals than Salah this calendar year in Europe’s top five leagues.
Salah boasts 52 goal involvements [29 goals, 23 assists] to show why many consider him to be the world’s best player on form.
But with the player free to speak to foreign clubs in January regarding a free transfer, Liverpool fans will be desperate he extends his stay at Anfield.
Liverpool are on course to win their second Premier League titleHowever for Salah, all attention is on this season and the silverware he could end up scooping come May.
Liverpool sit eight points clear at the top as they look to win their second Premier League title.
Slot’s side remain in contention to win all four trophies, with the Carabao Cup holders to face Tottenham for a place in March’s final.
The Anfield giants also sit top of the Champions League table, and have an FA Cup third round tie with Accrington Stanley on the horizon to look forward to.
