The California Highway Patrol will showcase its newest addition to the force beginning this weekend at the International Auto Show in San Diego.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday through Monday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday at 111 E. Harbor Drive at the San Diego Convention Center.
“At the San Diego International Auto Show all weekend with our new Chevy Silverado Z71,” CHP Public Information Officer Jim Bettencourt said in a post on social media.
Other vehicles making their debuts at the show include:
— 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ
— 2025 Ford Bronco Sport
— 2025 Ford E-Transit
— 2025 Ford Expedition
— 2025 Ford Maverick
— 2026 Honda Passport
— 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9
— 2025 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster
— 2025 Nissan Armada
— 2025 Toyota 4Runner
— 2025 Volkswagen Taos
— 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan
— 2025 Volvo EX30.
Auto show officials called the event “a celebration of car culture in San Diego County,” and said organizers have worked closely with vehicle manufacturers and a variety of exhibitors to “create an event that will educate, inspire, and entertain.”
McLaren will exhibit its performance road cars for the first time, with hundreds of the newest smart cars, trucks, SUVs and a variety of debuts not yet in showrooms.
This year, more electric vehicles will be showcased compared to prior auto shows from nearly every participating manufacturer. Attendees will also be given the chance to experience acceleration and handling from a variety of vehicles at an EV test track.
Other perks of the event will include non-EV test drives, Nissan military appreciation and family day on Sunday, where children 12 and under get free admission with a paid adult.

The San Diego International Auto Show is owned, produced and presented by the New Car Dealers Association. Organizers said it is the second- largest auto show in California.
