So that was a game that did indeed happen.
The Bears lost an absolute BARN BURNER 6-3 at home to the Seattle Seahawks and the biggest positive we can take away from it is that we’re just one more game away from this nightmare of a campaign being over.
The game management was terrible. The execution on offense was even worse. The offensive line play was yet again an absolute joke. None of this was really surprising, which is kind of the sad part, but that’s where we are with the 2024 Chicago Bears. One more game, let’s get this over with.

I feel like I’ve written this exact same post for about 4-5 straight weeks now. I’ll start off this week a little differently. Since I’m clearly someone who enjoys misery, I attended the game last night. I have to say, I couldn’t be more impressed with Bears fans. It’s truly remarkable how week after week, year after year, failed regime after failed regime Bears fans show out and treat every game like it’s a playoff game. When the Kyler Gordon fumble recovery got overturned you’d have thought it was a turning point in a Divisional Round game. This fanbase cares so damn much and deserves so much better. The game was pretty much just a different version of everything we’ve been seeing for a couple of months now. Nothing changed my thoughts about that a day later. Caleb Williams did some special things. Some were wiped out by mishaps like holding penalties or drops. He missed a few throws and held onto the ball a little long at times, but nothing that happened last night changed my belief that he’s absolutely the Bears’ franchise quarterback. © Daniel Bartel-Imagn Images Cairo Santos probably can’t be back next year. It’s most certainly nice to have a kicker that’s fairly automatic from around 45 and in, but the fact that the Bears can’t even think about attempting a 57-yard field goal just isn’t going to cut it going forward. I’m not saying we need a Brandon Aubrey who’s essentially automatic from the 40-yard line and in, but in today’s NFL with 50+ yarders being drilled regularly, having a kicker you can’t rely on from 55 and out just won’t cut it. I was impressed with DJ Moore last night. While he’s certainly left himself open to criticism at times this season with some comments to the media and bad body language, I thought he played a nice game last night. He’s adapted to a bit of a different role coming out of the backfield and being used as an extension of the run game and he’s looked really good doing it. I’d certainly love him to express his frustration in maybe a better way, but in the last couple of weeks, he’s played hard and played some pretty good football. Remember Cole Kmet? I’m not sure what happened to him, but he used to be fun. How sick was that touchdown pass to Rome Odunze that got called back for holding? In the grand scheme of things it would have been meaningless, but at the same time, I feel like we got robbed of that being a highlight to go back and watch over and over. I truly don’t understand how this coaching staff is so inept at managing a clock. 5:12 left with all three timeouts when the drive started, crossing the 50 with over a minute left, and only needing a field goal. And they STILL ran out of time. Time and again this staff fails to learn from previous mistakes and they fail to prepare for end-of-game situations. It’s truly remarkable how badly these late-game situations have been handled week after week.To summarize the Bears game management issues vs. Seattle:Chicago got the ball with 5:12 remaining and all 3 timeoutsThey needed a field goal to tieThey crossed the 50 with 1:05 remainingThey saw 45 and 38 seconds between plays despite having a timeout remaining (snaps…
— Courtney Cronin (@CourtneyRCronin) December 27, 2024 One more game left, Bears fans. It’s probably going to be a painful one. Going to Green Bay when they’re playing for playoff seeding and we’ve lost a million games in a row isn’t the best recipe for success. Let’s just hope we get some fun Caleb Williams highlights, he stays healthy, and then we can move on to 2025. Next year is finally the year my 12-5 prediction hits! © Talia Sprague-Imagn Images Read More Details
