PHILADELPHIA 76ers big man Joel Embiid turned heads after yelling at a woman referee and being restrained by teammates.
The 7-foot NBA center was eventually ejected during the 76ers’ 111-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.

Embiid immediately got up from the floor and argued the foul call with referee Jenna Schroeder.
The NBA MVP yelled in the face of the referee and was given a technical foul before receiving a second almost immediately, resulting in his ejection from the game.
Embiid then had to be restrained by teammate Kyle Lowry, head coach Nick Nurse, and several assistant coaches as he argued with the ejection decision.
It was the second ejection of Embiid’s career.
The crew chief shared that Embiid got close to Schroeder and made incidental contract, warranting the ejection.
Embiid finished with nine points, three rebounds, two blocks, and an assist in the win.
The 30-year-old has had a rough year as Monday’s game was just the eighth game he’s played this season.
Embiid has dealt with numerous injuries including left knee soreness and a sinus fracture as well as a three-game suspension due to an altercation with a 76ers reporter.
There was also another ejection earlier in the game which was later rescinded.
The ref Schroeder was in the middle of another chaotic sequence as she ejected 76ers big man Andre Drummond as well for a foul on Wembanyama.
Drummond received a technical after a shove to Wembanyama to the floor while trying to get defensive position, only to earn a second one moments later from Schroeder when Wembanyama tripped as they were in the paint.
Refs then rescinded Drummond’s second technical foul, saying he stepped on Wembanyama’s foot and said it was “incidental contact,” according to the postgame officials’ pool report.
Drummond was in the locker room and made his way back to the court which caused 76ers fans to cheer.
Officials also rescinded a technical free throw from 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey.
“The whole thing was really strange,” Nurse said after the game.
Unfortunately for Drummond, he didn’t finish the game after exiting with a big left-toe contusion.
Maxey led the way in the contest, recording 32 points in the Philly win.
The 11-17 76ers will face the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics on Christmas Day at 5:00 pm Eastern.
