The father of three, who shares his two youngest daughters with wife Lauren Hashian, explained at the beginning of his video on Thursday, Dec. 19, that he recently awoke to discover that his toenails had been painted, a prank that was blamed on one of the family’s Elf on the Shelf toys.
“I wake up in the morning, and my toes are painted,” Johnson, 52, said, aiming the camera down at this feet to capture a full view of the new look as his daughters giggled in the background. "This is crazy.”
In the video, Johnson’s camera panned around to show the elves surrounded by empty cans of ZOA. He zeroed in on an elf that was holding a bottle of red nail polish in its arms.

“I didn’t mean to touch the elf,” Johnson said with a small laugh. “They didn’t lose their magic, I promise you.” His daughters ultimately agreed that as long as the elves were only touched by adults, they would retain their special powers—though doing so was still strongly discouraged.
Johnson’s caption ended with a brief message for Kevin Hart, at whom Johnson took an unrelated jab in the final moments of his video. “And I love you @kevinhart4real,” the Red Notice actor wrote.
“Haha I do respect Dwayne for how he loves his family and what he does for his kids,” another fan commented.
