Marcus Freeman wasn’t going to give away any extra information on what uniforms his team would be wearing on Friday night, just like he wasn’t going to give any hints about the gameplan for Notre Dame as it faces Indiana in a first-round Playoff game.
But Freeman did give a subtle hint on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish head coach, who just signed a lucrative contract extension, said that Under Armour had new uniforms made for the team months ago if it made the College Football Playoff. Well, here Notre Dame is, with its 10-game win streak to end the regular season, its 11-1 record and its opportunity to win the program’s first national championship since 1988.
Apparently, that also means the Fighting Irish will be donning some sort of new uniform when they burst through that tunnel at Notre Dame Stadium on Friday night in front of a national TV audience.

— Irish Sports Daily (@ISDUpdate) December 18, 2024Freeman also noted on Wednesday that captains decide what the team wears on a week-to-week basis.
As far as what Under Armour has produced for the college football world to see, Freeman said he hasn’t seen those uniforms yet. But he will come Friday night, when the Fighting Irish and Hoosiers meet in an 8 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.
