Contenders for the Men's Player of the Year
Best Player of the Year award are Vinicius Jr. from Brazil and Rodri from Spain. Vinicius has made a significant impact as a key player for Real Madrid, contributing to their recent triumphs in the UEFA Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, and La Liga. Meanwhile, Rodri, who recently won the Ballon d'Or, is celebrated for his role in Spain’s success as European champions.
Nominee Breakdown
Dani Carvajal, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos, and Vinicius Jr. Other prominent nominees include Kylian Mbappé, who played the first half of the season with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as legendary players like Lionel Messi and young sensation Lamine Yamal.
Coaching and Women's Awards
Xabi Alonso, the successful coach from Bayer Leverkusen, has been nominated for the Best Men's Team Coach award. On the women's side, Aitana Bonmatí, who recently won the Ballon d'Or Féminin, is a frontrunner for the Best Women's Player award after leading her club to a historic quadruple and playing a crucial role in Spain's Nations League victory. The Best FIFA Men’s 11 and The Best FIFA Women’s 11, choosing from a pool of 77 nominated players and fitting them into predetermined tactical formations.
FIFA Marta Award and the FIFA Puskás Award has been equally shared between fans and a panel of FIFA Legends. Additionally, the FIFA Fan Award was entirely decided by fan votes, while the FIFA Fair Play Award was determined by an expert panel.
