Fire at oil and gas facility causes black smoke plume near Windsor ...Middle East

DENVER (KDVR) — A plume of black smoke was visible from SkyFOX near Windsor on Monday afternoon and appeared to be rising from a blaze at an industrial facility.

The helicopter flew over an oil and gas operation at about 3:20 p.m. where there appeared to be rows of tanks, and one of them was blackened on the end with active fire coming out of an upright pipe and the end of the tank.

The fire is located near the intersection of Weld County Road 15 and East Crossroads Boulevard. The area is east of the Northern Colorado Regional Airport and Interstate 25.

Firefighters did appear to have water on the flames as of 3:25 p.m.
