The Almost Famous actress, who recently launched a singing career, sang the Christmas classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” while onstage at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn. Hudson is one of several guest stars who performed for Little Big Down’s Christmas at the Opry, a two-hour special set to air on NBC at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 16.
The video preview that Hudson shared with her fans on Instagram on Saturday, Dec. 14, showcased her powerful vocal delivery as she commanded the stage, a large silver snowflake projected onto the screen behind her. She wore a long, sparkly gown made of gauzy material for the event. The long-sleeved dress featured a thigh-high slit that put her toned legs on display, with nearly all of her left leg visible as she stood onstage.
Several celebrities left comments on the post as they wrote in to praise Hudson’s vocals.
