Crews Battle Overnight Residential Fire in Encanto ...Middle East

Firefighters battled a fire at a single-story home in Encanto early Sunday morning.

Units were dispatched around 3:20 a.m. Sunday to 135 Latimer St., near the intersection of Valencia Pkwy. and Skyline Dr., the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.

A total of 31 personnel were assigned to the fire, including four engines, one truck, and one supporting agency.

No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported, but a fire investigator has been assigned.

Personnel from National City assisted in the effort.
