CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) - More periods of rain will be moving in through lunchtime or so Wednesday afternoon. Amounts up to 2-4 inches could develop, giving us a risk of at least minor flooding, along with ponding on some area roads of course. Stay extra weather-aware and slow it down on the roads! A few storms could be in the mix as well Wednesday. Any storms could produce strong wind gusts, but the highest risk of damaging, severe storms will be over Eastern North Carolina. As the cold front passes Wednesday, rain will turn to snow in the mountains as colder air rushes in. Only minor accumulation is expected, but up to 1-2 inches could fall in the highest elevations.
