Left Bank Pictures may have brought us Netflix hit series The Crown but they’re setting their sights on another Royal-adjacent story, set to unfold in a brand new ITV drama. Entitled The Lady, the four-parter will tell the story of the Duchess of York’s former dresser and aide Jane Andrews, who was imprisoned for the murder of her boyfriend. The new series will be based on true events and Andrews’s story, but will also be partly fictionalised, being written by Debbie O’Malley (Payback, Harlots) and directed by Lee Haven Jones (Passenger).
