The San Diego Sheriff’s Office said dispatchers received multiple calls around 2 p.m. Tuesday about a shooting near the 14700 block of Quail Haven Lane. When deputies from the Alpine Sheriff’s Station arrived, they found a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. They immediately began rendering medical assistance until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive following emergency surgery.
