The ruler of Dubai has submitted an ambitious plan to cut the UAE’s emission by a quarter by 2030 and implement a host of cleaner energy alternatives. The UAE has pledged to reduce its carbon emissions by a quarter by 2030 to meet its commitment to the Paris climate agreement, according to a tweet on Tuesday evening by Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.Sheikh Mohammed, who is also the UAE's prime minister, said that his country had submitted its national pledge to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which included their commitment to cut carbon emissions.The UAE was one of 196 countries that signed the Paris agreement in 2015, which set out commitments to limit global warm
