CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a woman's body discovered at a local bridge last week. On Monday, Nov. 4, a woman was found deceased along US HWY 601 South at the Rocky River bridge. Investigators believe she was not killed at the bridge where she was discovered, but rather that unknown suspects dumped her body there. The case is being treated as a homicide, though the exact cause of death is still under investigation by the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office.
