Calaveras County, CA — Today and on Veterans Day, military members can take home a new furry companion for free. Calaveras County Animal Services (CCAS) is offering free adoptions of any available animals to those serving active duty or anyone who served in the US military. The adoption includes spay/neuter, UTD on all shots, and a microchip. There is also a bonus goodie bag to take home. Veterans must have proof of their military service. The offer is good today, Saturday, November 9th, and November 11, Veterans Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CCAS office at 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive in San Andreas.
