The victory of Proposition 2 will authorize the first state bond for school construction since 2016 and replenish state funding that had run dry. With initial results from all precincts, 56.8% of voters backed the bond measure, and 43.2% opposed it. Still to be counted are mail-in ballots not yet received and provisional ballots.
