The 2024 NFL Trade Deadline wasn’t the banger we thought it would be. Even if you take the Chicago Bears out of the equation, this year’s deadline lacked a deal with sauce. Oh, well. Moving on. No, I’m not surprised about the Bears not making a bigger splash. Things were trending toward a quieter trade deadline for Chicago’s football team (we said as much in Tuesday’s trade deadline primer). A part of me is surprised (and somewhat impressed) that the Bears received a Day 3 draft pick in 2025 for running back Khalil Herbert.
