Egypt’s National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics reported on Thursday, at 7:35 am, that its seismic network recorded a 4.25 magnitude earthquake 12 kilometers northeast of Sharm El-Sheikh, at a depth of 8.5 kilometers. Taha Rabah, head of the institute, confirmed that the earthquake, which was felt by residents of Sharm El-Sheikh, occurred 12 kilometers northeast of the city and measured 4.25 on the Richter scale.
