The BCCI has come up with yet another measure as it continues implementing new ways to bolster domestic cricket. In recent times, the board has taken several steps to enhance domestic cricket in the country. Earlier this year, the BCCI made it mandatory for the players to represent their state teams when they are not a part of the Indian team. Last year, the BCCI had announced an increase in prize money for the domestic tournaments. The prize money for the Ranji Trophy winners was increased to INR 5 crore from INR 2 crore.
