Fears of growing fascism and extremism are increasing in the United States, according to a new poll. The NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist National poll released on Wednesday found that 31 percent of Americans, when asked about their greatest fears for the country's future, mention a rise of fascism and extremism. There is also a notable partisan split in the findings, with almost half of Democrats, 47 percent, reporting that a rise of fascism and extremism was their biggest concern. Republicans, comparatively, were far less concerned. Only 15 percent of Republicans said they were worried about growing fascism. For GOP voters, the number one concern was lack of values at 36 percent
