Chicago Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks was a highly anticipated game that showcased two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated with 46 points and 16 rebounds and the Bucks beat the Chicago Bulls 113-97 on Friday night.
Antetokounmpo surpassed Sidney Moncrief as the winningest Milwaukee player with his 489th victory counting the playoffs, and the Bucks came away with their fifth straight win.
The Bucks head into this contest following a 111-99 victory over the Hornets on Thursday. Antetokounmpo scored a team-best 24 points for the Bucks in the win.
DeMar DeRozan led the team with 35 points (adding 10 rebounds and five assists).
The Bucks have played the Bulls 266 times throughout their history, more than any other opponent. While each team has had their golden eras, the all-time series is extremely close with the Bucks going 131-135 against the Bulls, but actually outscoring them overall.
Milwaukee won two of those three games, and this will be the last time the rivals square off in the regular season.
Despite a valiant effort from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds, it was not enough to overcome the relentless attack of the Bulls. The final score of 113-97 in favor of Chicago solidified their position as one of the top contenders in the conference.
