A Laytonville woman was found guilty of vehicular manslaughter in Mendocino County Superior Court this week, the Mendocino County District Attorney reported. According to the office of DA David Eyster, a jury on Tuesday found Jane Laycock Barisione, 71, of Laytonville, “guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, (a charge that stemmed from) a crime occurring late in the afternoon of March 22, 2023, on the Ridgewood Grade” just south of the Cal Fire Howard Forest Station on Highway 101.
