In the vast realm of superhero franchises, Marvel has undoubtedly left an indelible mark. However, in recent years, the cinematic universe has faced its fair share of challenges and setbacks. Yet, amidst this turbulence, there lies a glimmer of hope - "The Fantastic Four." This iconic superhero team possesses the potential to breathe new life into Marvel's creative endeavors.

Firstly, reintroducing "The Fantastic Four" would allow Marvel to explore uncharted territories within their universe. With their unique powers and dynamic relationships, these characters offer a fresh perspective that can captivate audiences anew. Furthermore, their inclusion could bridge gaps between existing storylines and introduce exciting crossovers with other beloved heroes.

Pedro Pascal, known for his captivating performances in "Narcos" and "The Mandalorian," brings a wealth of talent and charisma to his role. His ability to embody complex characters with depth and nuance makes him a perfect fit for this iconic franchise. Alongside Pascal, the casting of other talented actors promises an exciting ensemble that will undoubtedly bring these beloved characters to life.

Tony Stark in “Iron Man” was “one of the most consequential casting decisions that’s ever been made in the history of the movie business.”

As part of the casting announcement, Disney has swapped the release dates of “The Fantastic Four” (now set for May 2, 2025) and “Thunderbolts” (now set for July 25, 2025).

Victor von Doom, one of the most important and fearsome villains in the Marvel canon, has yet to be cast.

Reed gains the ability to stretch his body to astonishing lengths. Sue, Reed’s girlfriend (and eventual wife), can manipulate light to become invisible and cast powerful forcefields. Johnny, Sue’s brother, can turn his body into fire which gives him the ability to fly. And Ben, Reed’s best friend, is totally transformed into, well, a Thing, with giant, orange boulders for a body, giving him super strength — and a perpetual heavy heart about his seemingly monstrous appearance.

Marvel Age of Comics,” Lee wrote. “That’s why I kinda feel like I’m writing about the invention of the wheel, or the discovery of fire. We’re talking about the very beginning, about the quasi-classical characters who laid the foundation, who paved the way, who greased the skids, who set the style for the entire body of myths which your bright-eyed little bullpen was later to produce.”

Lee called the Fantastic Four “the fabulous framework on which the whole Marvel edifice was built”—but onscreen, at least, it’s gone the opposite way. When a Marvel Studios Fantastic Four arrives in 2025, it will be after a rough and tumble journey, to say the least.
