Today marks the four-year anniversary of one of the White Sox’s better moves in recent memory. On January 2, 2020, the Sox finalized a $50MM extension with Luis Robert. The right-handed hitting center fielder had yet to make his MLB debut but was a consensus top prospect. As shown on MLBTR’s Contract Tracker, the deal was then the largest ever signed by a player with no big league reps.
