CBC News Promotes Brodie Fenlon to Top Role ...Middle East

Former Huffington Post Canada exec Brodie Fenlon has been promoted to head up CBC News as general manager and editor in chief, replacing Susan Marjetti as she retires after 35 years at the Canadian public broadcaster. Fenlon joined CBC News in 2013 after having helped launch HuffPo Canada. He most recently served as editor in chief and executive director of programs and standards since 2020. In 2017, Fenlon was tapped to oversee daily news and domestic and foreign bureaus at the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. as it faced increased U.S. digital competition.
