Indian Space Research Organisation successfully launches PSLV-C58 carrying XPoSat and 10 other payloads. XPoSat is India's first scientific satellite for polarisation measurements of X-ray emissions from celestial objects. The launch took place at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. XPoSat was placed in a 650km orbit and later reduced to a 350km circular orbit for orbital platform experiments. The mission aims to measure polarisation of X-rays from cosmic sources and improve scientists' understanding of black holes and other celestial objects. The launch also carried 10 other payloads from various organizations.
