Portrait of Ed Chapman. Chapman was wrongfully convicted of murder and served 15 years at Central Prison — nearly 14 of which were on death row — at Central Prison in Raleigh. He was exonerated in 2008. Today, he he wants a pardon so he can be paid for the time he was in prison. He just wants to live out the rest of his life with his grandchildren, and maybe one day start a recovery center for women or a food truck.
