TONTOGANY – Otsego Local Schools is taking steps to again ask for voter support for an income tax, this time in March. For the first time in more than 20 years, the district asked voters earlier this month to support a request for more operating funds. That request, a continuing 0.5% income tax, failed Nov. 7 by more than 1,500 votes. The unofficial results from the Wood County Board of Elections show 5,799 votes in favor and 7,394 opposed.
