To the editor, Voters, before you decide if the Bowling Green School District levy is timed correctly, let’s consider the facts. The Board has requested an estimated $72 million with a 30 year commitment to be paid for by property owners only. It seems more fair to request income tax monies to assist in funding this enormous cost. Currently reported Bowling Green District tax revenues indicate a surplus of $2.8 million. This school board has clearly stated that in 2 years, a maintenance levy will be requested. Our community wants our school system to be the best we can afford.
