BLOOMDALE – There are seven candidates competing for three seats on the Elmwood Local Schools Board of Education. The Elmwood Education Association held a candidate’s forum on Oct. 8. Brian Arnold, Thomas Bodnar, Patrick Brooks, Nate Heiser, Kerry Nietz, Kristy Silverwood and Sarah Simon are competing for the three four-year terms. Silverwood is an incumbent. Debbie Reynolds and Melanie Davis are not seeking reelection. Ryan Lee and Jeremie Pennington, both current board members, will fill the two unexpired terms ending Dec. 31, 2025.
