LIME CITY – Perrysburg Township has inked a deal for automatic EMS mutual aid with the City of Perrysburg. The township and city have had an agreement for mutual aid for fire calls for years, said Perrysburg Township Fire/EMS Chief Tom Brice. Township trustees approved the agreement at their Sept. 20 meeting. Brice gave an example of an EMS call to West River Road. “It’s quite a long haul for us to get out there,” he said. The agreement will apply when one agency is closer that the other when an EMS call is received.
