Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1.2 billion — the third-largest prize in the game’s history — without a winner Monday night.
Among the winner’s big decisions will be the choice between a lump sum payout worth $551.7 million or an annuitized prize of $1.2 billion. Both options are pretax estimates.
The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday at 11 p.m. ET, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
With no winners since July, the Powerball jackpot continues to climb after eclipsing $1 billion on Saturday.
The lottery jackpot is worth an estimated $1.2 billion with a cash value of $551.7 million. The next drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4. It is currently the third-largest prize in the Powerball's history.

Powerball tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 U.S. states as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. The drawings are also livestreamed online at Powerball.com.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on July 19. One ticket bought in California won the $1.08 billion jackpot. The current jackpot stands at $1.02 billion.
The highest lottery jackpot came in November 2022 at $2.04 billion. It was the second jackpot over $1 billion that year. Before that the only other times a jackpot hit over a billion was in 2021, 2018 and 2016.
