Pakistan: Religious leaders, locals stop girls from playing cricket match in Swat  ...Middle East

A group of Charbagh residents and some prayer leaders on Sunday stopped a women's cricket match at Charbagh Cricket Stadium, Pakistan-based Dawn reported. They said that the girls participating in cricket were immodest and considered inappropriate in the area. Ayesha Ayaz, a 12-year-old budding athlete, had taken the initiative to arrange the match for girls who belonged to Babuzai and Kabal tehsils. However, several prayer leaders and elders before the start of the match arrived at the match venue and stopped girls from participating in it.
