Bronxville, N.Y.: I am a retired NYC teacher who grew up in the Bronx reading the Daily News. Several of the points in your Aug. 12 editorial, “Final nail in the coffin,” are not accurate. I listened to every available United Federation of Teachers Zoom meeting explaining the plan. At one, an Aetna representative admitted it was very similar to other Advantage plans with a few exceptions/concessions. Pre-authorizations for some tests were eliminated and two big NYC hospitals were added. The supposed perks do not compare in any way to the need for pre-authorizations.
