Ruth Jean Van Wormer ...Middle East

Ruth Jean Van Wormer, 98, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully August 5, 2023 after a long illness. She was born April 4, 1925 in North Baltimore, Ohio to the late John and Clara (Mollenberg) Wales. On September 17, 1949 she married Glenn Van Wormer, who preceded her in death February 21, 1997. Ruth graduated from BGSU where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Like her husband, she spent her entire working life at the university, finishing her career as secretary to the President. With Glenn she enjoyed periodic stays in Amish country and, following their retirement, travels to the Northeast for genealogical research. An avid Bridge player, Ruth belonged to five Bridge
