Blue Jays In Advanced Talks To Acquire Paul DeJong ...Middle East

The Blue Jays are in advanced talks to acquire shortstop Paul DeJong from the Cardinals, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Last night, Blue Jays star shortstop Bo Bichette suffered a knee injury, making DeJong a natural fit as one of the few players on the market at the position.  We’re still awaiting a diagnosis on Bichette. DeJong, who turns 30 tomorrow, has bounced back this year from an increasingly rough three-year period.  DeJong has a 96 wRC+ on the season with 13 home runs in 306 plate appearances. More to come…
