The deck in Ohio is stacked against Democrats ...Middle East

To the Editor: Here’s the big picture: Ohio is a Republican state. Wood County is Republican primarily due to the gerrymandering of its districts. Issue 1 submits: let’s install a mandate that anyone proposing a state constitutional change must require moresupport than a simple 51-vote majority. That deck in Ohio is thus stacked against a Democratic proposal from the start. To ensure that our Democratic republic stays accountable to all its citizens, it’s up to all voters to stop the requirement of a 60 vote super-majority.
