Bronx: I was shocked to read “Labor Boss: Back Adams med plan & lose backing” (June 23): How dare Henry Garrido, executive director of DC37, threaten to penalize City Council members with political and financial retribution by withdrawing endorsements during their upcoming reelections if they back a bill trying to upend Mayor Adams’ effort to eliminate traditional Medicare coverage for city retirees. That is pure and simple blackmail!
