Direct flights resume between Qatar, Bahrain after 6 years ...Kuwait

Direct flights between Qatar and Bahrain began again on Thursday following a hiatus of six years. Qatar Airways, Doha's flag carrier, tweeted it would fly to the nearby Gulf state daily from Thursday and three times a day beginning on 15 June. The two countries announced in mid-April that they had agreed to end a long-running diplomatic feud and re-establish relations. Tracking website FlightAware shows a Qatar Airways plane took off from Hamad International Airport in the Qatari capital at 20:32 (17:32 GMT), landing at 20:59 (17:59 GMT) in Bahrain.
