Clarksville, TN – Mackenzie Carr, a senior in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Austin Peay State University (APSU), has won the university’s prestigious Drane Award – given by faculty to an outstanding member of the graduating class. The award honors character, scholarship, leadership, and service to the university. Carr was selected for the award by a panel of faculty members, who recognized her exemplary achievements and contributions to the university community. Carr, who is graduating on May 5th with a degree in mathematics with a concentration in actuarial science, has been a dedicated member of the Austin Peay State University community for four years.
