A Humboldt County man was recently sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of crashing into a family’s minivan on Highway 101 in Mendocino County while driving with a blood-alcohol level that was more than three times the legal limit, the Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office reported. According to DA David Eyster, on March 24 in Mendocino County Superior Court, Tyson Randall Young, 41 of Fortuna, was sentenced to six years in prison after having been convicted by plea in early February of driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, causing injury to another.
