On Wednesday the pharmaceutical company, Eli Lilly, announced it would significantly lower the list price of some of its most common insulin products and cap the out-of-pocket patient costs to $35 per month. The decision to lower prices follows years of advocacy and political pressure to make insulin more affordable.
