Republican Yemen the European Commission announced today it will allocate over €193 million ($206 million) to help meet the needs of the most vulnerable people in Yemen. Commissioner Janez Lenarcic said in a statement during the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum will help provide life-saving assistance to Yemenis. According to Lenarcic €136 million will be provided to the EU’s humanitarian partners to help meet emerging needs resulting from ongoing violence and sudden disaster, while €55 million will provide food security and livelihood support as well as longer-term development and self-reliance.
