Republican Yemen Yemen’s President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has handed power to a newly established Presidential Leadership Council after sacking his vice president Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar. Early on Thursday, Hadi issued a decree dismissing vice president Mohsen al-Ahmar and establishing a Presidential Leadership Council to which Hadi handed power to run the country in a transitional period. According to the decree, the council will be run by Major General Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, former interior minister with the membership of seven Yemeni political and military leaders: Sultan al-Alrada Tareq Mohammed Saleh Abdel Rahman Abu Zara’a Abdullah al-Alimi Bawazeer Othman Hussien Mugli Aidarous Qasem al-Zu
