Republican Yemen Politician and writer Ali Albukhaiti met today with U.S. Envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking in Riyadh where they discussed the crisis in Yemen. During the meeting, Albukhaiti highlighted the importance of addressing the humanitarian and economic crisis away from political agreements and ceasefires. “Reaching a durable political settlement might take decades and it hinges on forces on the ground,” Albukhaiti said on Twitter. “Issues like Sana’a airport, Hodeidah port, Taiz siege, and other humanitarian and economic issues must be addressed separately from political negotiations.” He also demanded more flights be allowed at Sana’a airport to meet the needs of millions who find it
