If you’re an avid TikTok user, you have likely heard of the Dubai Chocolate Bar.

The dessert is essentially a chocolate bar filled with crispy shredded phyllo dough pastry and pistachio cream.

It went viral in December 2023 and has continued to pique the interest of sweet tooths, although it is generally difficult to find due to its limited availability and high demand.

Shoppers, however, can score the Middle Eastern-inspired treat from Try Aladdin, an online retailer specializing in selling authentic Turkish products.

The website is currently selling Antep Pistachio & Kadayif Dubai Chocolate Bars for just $2.99 each, marked down from the original $5.99 price.

Shoppers can also stock up on the chocolate bars with a box of 24 on sale for $49.99 or a larger box with 96 pieces currently discounted to $159.99.

The decadent 30-gram chocolate bars are made with Dubai chocolate and Antep pistachios from Turkey.

Produced by Bolçi, a renowned chocolate brand based in Bolu, Turkey, the dessert also features crispy kadayif – shredded pastry often combined with nuts and sweet syrup.

“This chocolate bar is not just a treat, but a journey through taste, combining rich, creamy chocolate with the crunch of Antep pistachios and the sweetness of kadayif,” reads the product description.

“Each bite is a testament to the culinary craftsmanship that blends these elements seamlessly into a delightful confectionery.”

    CHOCOLATE CRAZE

The Dubai Chocolate Bar spiked in popularity in December 2023 after TikToker Maria Vehera (@mariavehera257) shared a video indulging in the treat, which has over 6.5 million likes.

Fans were itching to get a taste of the dessert, sold by the Dubai-based shop Fix Dessert Chocolatier, but were quickly disappointed to realize that it was expensive and tough to find.

The rage surrounding the treat sparked copycat recipes online, products inspired by the flavors, and even a Starbucks Dubai Chocolate Bar Matcha Latte.

Costco hopped on the trend as well, launching boxes of 41 bite-sized Bouchard Dubai Chocolates for $17.99.

“These are super smooth but have a crunch from the pistachios. They’re excellent,” said Michigan Costco member Laura Jayne Lamb (@costcohotfinds) in an Instagram video.

While a few lucky Costco customers have managed to score the Bouchard Dubai Chocolates, many have had a tough time getting their hands on the treat in stores and online.

“These sold out in less than a week across Michigan Costcos,” complained one user on Reddit.

“They sold out in 2 days at our warehouse,” said another. “I’m in Michigan and took calls from California asking if we could ship them out to them. They’re really good.”

Although the warehouse club has sold out of the Dubai Chocolate Bar, Costco plans to stock up on a $10 award winning savory snack fans call “literal white gold.”

Plus, fans are racing to the chain to try a “genius” food court hack that has gone viral.
