Meet the 52 Contestants for Miss America 2025

The Miss America 2025 competition takes place this Sunday, Jan. 5 at The Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, FL, when the reigning Miss America Madison Marsh from Colorado will crown her successor.

This year’s Miss America competition will feature 52 delegates: one from each state plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

    Miss America:  $50,000First, second, third and fourth runners-up: $10,000

    The panel of judges includes influential figures across fashion, entertainment, art, and philanthropy:

    Carl Lewis is widely regarded as one of the greatest track-and-field athletes of all time. Over his career, he won 9 Olympic gold medals and 10 World Championship gold medals, primarily in the long jump and sprint events.

    Heather Whitestone McCallum, Miss America 1995, made history as the first woman with a disability to win the title.

    Stayce D. Harris is a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General and the first African-American female to achieve the three-star rank in the Air Force.

    Sharlene Wells Hawkes, born in Paraguay and raised in South America, was crowned Miss America 1985 as the first foreign-born, bilingual titleholder.

    Gabi Butler is a renowned American cheerleader, YouTuber, television personality, and professional wrestler currently signed to WWE.

    How can I vote for my favorite contestant for Miss America 2025?

    America can vote here to send its favorite delegate to the semifinals on the final night of Miss America. Voting continues through 11:59 PM PST on Jan. 3 for Miss America delegates. There is no limit on voting, but each vote costs $1. The donations support Miss America Opportunity.

    Will there be a Miss America swimsuit competition?

    No, the swimsuit competition has been eliminated as the focus on the Miss America Competition is on scholarships.

    "There She Is, Miss America" is the song performed every year when the new Miss America is crowned. The song, which was written by Bernie Wayne for the Miss America competition, has been sung every every year since 1955. From 1955 to 1979, host Bert Parks sang the song.

    Who was the first Black Miss America?

    In 1983, Vanessa Williams was crowned the first Black Miss America. Less than a year later, she gave up her crown after nude photos of her were released. Years later, she reemerged and has built a successful music and acting career. You may remember her from Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives or "Love Is" the romantic song from the Beverly Hills 90210 soundtrack.
